Vocals / Rhythm Guitar

It was winning a local talent quest in the early 60s that set Wayne on his musical journey. He has been playing music continuously around Perth ever since.  He successfully formed a number of popular bands over the years that included ‘The Tikis’, ‘Sounds United’, ‘Country Rhodes’, ‘The Blackwood River Band’, and was the other half of a leading country music duo ‘Country Two’. Earlier he was a member of the highly popular ‘Steel Country Show Band’ with Syd, helping the resurgence in popularity of country music in Perth in the 70s. Wayne’s music career includes recording, television and radio appearances

Bass / Vocals

Syd has performed around Perth since the 60s. Bands included ‘Steel Country Show Band’,  Professional band ‘The Drugstore Cowboys’ who supported International star Ray Stevens at the Perth Entertainment Centre and ‘Country Rhodes’ a resident band at the Charles Hotel. He has backed or supported many acts including ‘The Drifters’, ‘The Platters’, ‘Dinah Lee’, ‘Ole 55’, actor Jack Thompson and many local artists. He has appeared on television, radio and recording both in bands and studio work.

Lead Guitar / Vocals

Peter Schmechtig AKA Captain Pedro - Lead Guitar and Vocals has been on the Perth music scene since the early 60’s.  Peter is a well-known local musician, who played in many top bands over the years that included: Peter & The Drifters, Paul & The Hurricanes, The Senate, and Paul & The Suspects (who won two Hoadley’s Battle of the Bands).  He has backed numerous national artist such as MPD LTD, and The Bill & Boyd Travelling Show Band and countless local artists. Peter has done a considerable amount of recording, for his own music and with local bands. His speciality is recording instrumental music in the style of the ‘Shadows’ and has just produced his fourth CD. 
Alan
Alan

Drums / Vocals

Alan is the junior member of the band and has played around Perth for a number of years. A highlight being a member of a highly successful Hebrew cover band ‘10 to 1’, where they played for the Israeli Consulate during a visit to Perth. More recently, Alan played in the band ‘Partypak’ led by the very popular local entertainer Wayne Pride. Alan enjoys entertaining having performed solo, playing guitar and singing at a variety of events. Alan provides the band’s drive, and sings most backup vocals.
Lloyd
Lloyd

ROADIE

Probably the most over worked member of PatchworK is Lloyd our roadie.
He works really hard to help us load our gear in, and also does a lot of the videos you see on this website!

We'd be lost without him.
